A new ETIP Ocean report shows that the requirement for revenue support remains as crucial as ever in order to send a clear signal to investors that there is a market for ocean energy.

The ETIP Ocean Report on stakeholder & policy needs looks at the positive impacts of ocean energy at local, regional and European level and identifies the most important policy interventions to reduce costs of ocean energy projects.

The report is based on a stakeholder survey with a balanced representation of the European ocean energy sector.

The results are clear: to support and accelerate ocean energy development, the following policies need to be in place:

• A stable revenue support framework earmarked for ocean energy
• Clear and ambitious national targets for ocean energy deployment
• Continued support for research and development

The full report can be found here.
