ETIP Ocean recognises and celebrates women in engineering for International Women in Engineering Day (www.inwed.org.uk) and organised a dedicated webinar on this topic.

The webinar featured three women engineers talking about their careers in the wave energy sector. The webinar presented the work being done to increase diversity and inclusion in the Wind and Marine Energy Systems Centre for Doctoral Training at the University of Strathclyde. Through close collaboration with Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE), a complete review of recruitment practices has taken place and together with a pilot internship, showed that relatively small changes can have a huge impact.
